For citizens and schools

Our AI doesn't just recognize the plant species. It assesses its health from a photo and estimates key biophysical parameters, such as potential CO₂ absorption and biodiversity improvement, turning visual observation into measurable data.

Both are needed. Mapping and monitoring current trees helps municipalities plan maintenance better. Planting new trees is instead an essential direct action to offset emissions and reduce urban heat islands.

Every plant surveyed and cared for by the community feeds a dynamic civic registry. This database, provided to administrations, gives a hyper-local map of urban environmental health, optimizing future green investments exactly where they're needed most.

No, for citizens, volunteers and schools the VERA app will always be 100% free. The project sustains itself through services offered to municipalities and partners, who want to invest in verified, transparent environmental offset activities in their area.

We protect your data by design. Personal information is handled in full GDPR compliance. Geographic coordinates are only used to place plants in space: when we share environmental impact statistics with institutions, we always use aggregated, fully anonymized data.

VERA is currently a concept in advanced prototyping. We are actively developing the platform and looking for partners to define and launch the first pilot projects (targeting Milan, Turin and Bologna). You can contact us for updates or to become a partner.

For municipalities

Italian decree DM 63/2020 requires municipalities to census and report on urban green space. VERA feeds this census with AI-verified data collected from citizens, and makes it available to the technical office in a format ready for compliance.

PDF export for official reporting, and GeoJSON for direct integration with the GIS systems already used by municipal technical offices.

No. The dashboard is accessible via browser, with no installations or infrastructure to manage on the municipality side.

The up-to-date map of surveyed green space, the health status of plants, the estimated CO₂ absorption aggregated by area, and the historical record of surveys over time.

The access model for municipalities is being defined together with the first pilot partners. Write to us for a quote tailored to your area.
